“It is my pleasure to recommend Rebecca Stephenson for your triathlon training needs. When I first hooked up with Rebecca, I had injured myself by “over training.” Rebecca helped me train properly so I had no more injuries. She worked within my limited availability and planned my training to fit my life-style. She was a firm, but kind, coach. She helped me get past some “fears” of open-water swimming I didn’t even know I had. One of the best benefits of working with Rebecca is her hands-on knowledge of “all things triathlon” as she is an active, winning triathlete and can answer any questions you have about any aspect of the event. She truly cares about her clients and bends over backwards to help them succeed!”

“Coach Rebecca is the the most encouraging and supportive coach you can find! Her daily check-in and motivation is always something to look forward to. A huge bonus of training with her is that she has group track workouts every week, and in the winter has group strength training classes. Being a triathlete for most of her life, she has a huge base of knowledge to draw from, and is always eager to help with questions and to give advice. Additionally, she is a genuinely kind person who truly cares about helping her clients and friends achieve their goals.”

“When I began working with Rebecca, I had been swimming laps for about a year and was not seeing any improvement in speed. In fact, my shoulder was in pain and I was afraid I was going to have to take some time off. Rebecca immediately pointed out changes I could make to my stroke to prevent further wear on my shoulder and showed me some easy stretches and strength training exercises to work that area. Over several months, she was able to work with me on all areas of my technique and I found I was able to swim faster, while exerting less energy and, most importantly, swim pain-free. I have also attended strength training classes and track workouts led by Rebecca. Aside from her impressive achievements and experience as a triathlete and her credentials as a triathlon coach, Rebecca has an innate ability to go right to the core of what each person needs to work on and to quickly assess each individual’s thresholds on any given day, to push them with just enough intensity to help them achieve their goals.”

“Rebecca is so much more than a running or triathlon coach. While she does tailor a training plan to the athlete to minimize risk of injuries based on her lengthy experience, she also coached me mentally and spiritually to ensure I was ready to face my first 70.3 triathlon. When the wall came during the race, her words, guidance and training are what kept me moving through the finish line! I would recommend Rebecca to anyone looking to bring forward the best athlete and person they can be. ”

“We wanted to thank you for coaching Chris all summer. You exceeded our expectations in every way. You not only made a plan for him to follow but encouraged him and supported him in every way and made yourself available to him always! His self confidence was boosted this summer thanks to you and I know Chris will have a great upcoming XC season because of that. ”
